From April 7th to April 30th you have the opportunity to embark on a gastronomic tour of the island of Krk as part of the first stage of Krk Food Fest, an event aimed at lovers of high quality food and unique experiences!
Traditional dishes of our region are not only an excellent way to try new flavors, they also present a unique link to the island’s history and the way of life through the eating culture. Through its menus, the island of Krk can tell you its entire history. The perfect place to start this story is certainly by trying šurlice, an authentic pasta creation of the island and the favorite of locals and visitors alike.
During this event, thirty restaurants from Krk will offer you variations of this gastronomic delicacy that will satisfy every taste, regardless of whether they are combined with seafood, stew or a sauce made with delicious wild asparagus found on the island and accompanying šurlice in April, as the main feature on Krk tables.
